It’s going to be a huge year for the Wolves! Here’s the breakdown of each team:
With our beginner’s age group, both boys and girls play on the same teams. Practice is just once per week (usually Tuesdays), and is focused on fun, and skill building. Games are played on Saturday mornings, all on our home field in Waynesboro (Constitution Park), no travel required.
This age group wears full equipment, and contact begins in this age group with modified checking. This age group faces other teams in games on Saturdays. Games are held in Waynesboro, Charlottesville, Weyers Cave, Luray, Winchester, and Lexington. We are not a travel league, there are no overnight games or tournaments. Practice starts March 2nd and will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays (location TBD). Season ends May 2nd.
We will continue our development and understanding of the game at this level. This age group faces other teams in games on Saturdays. Games are held in Waynesboro, Charlottesville, Weyers Cave, Luray, Winchester, and Lexington. We are not a travel league, there are no overnight games or tournaments. Practice starts March 2nd and will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays at Fishburne Military in Waynesboro. Season ends May 2nd.
Our HS Boy’s team does not have try-outs, and all who want to play will play. This age group faces other teams in games during the week, with two games scheduled for Saturday. Games are held in Waynesboro, Charlottesville, Weyers Cave, Luray, Winchester, Lexington, and one game in Martinsburg. We are not a travel league, there are no overnight games or tournaments. Practice starts March 2nd and will be held Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays at Fishburne Military in Waynesboro. Season ends May 2nd. Information on optional pre-season conditioning program will be forthcoming.
This is our first age group where girls start to play with modified checking, and traditional women’s rules. In this age group, we will continue development of our knowledge of the game, and basic skills. Games are held on Saturdays in Waynesboro, Charlottesville, Weyers Cave, Lexington, and the Winchester area. Practice starts March 2nd and will be held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, location in Waynesboro TBD. We are not a travel league, there are no overnight games or tournaments.
In this age group, we continue to play with modified checking, and traditional women’s rules. In this age group, we will continue development of our knowledge of the game, and more advanced skills. Games are held on Saturdays in Waynesboro, Charlottesville, Weyers Cave, Lexington, and the Winchester area. Practice starts March 2nd and will be held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, location in Waynesboro TBD. We are not a travel league, there are no overnight games or tournaments.
This is our first season to offer this age group, and we are so excited! Our HS Girl’s team does not have try-outs, and all who want to play will play. We will continue to develop our athletes’ ability to play lacrosse at the high school level. Practice starts March 2nd and will be held Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, location in Waynesboro TBD.
